1% Thursday: Splash it on

This is actually a replay of a tip featured here back in 2006.  But actually, it’s very simple, and very helpful for some people.  So here goes.

Sometimes you can’t sleep at night.  You might be all sweaty, or maybe just feeling restless.  Try water.

No, not to drink – well, ok – maybe that too.  But on your skin.  That’s right, go into the sink and splash some cool water on your skin.  Arms, legs, whatever else you feel like exposing.

Then go back to bed.

This sometimes works remarkably well (seriously, it’s helped me avoid medication at times) because it cools off your skin, and that helps you sleep better – even if it’s just temporary, it may be enough.

So, next time you can’t sleep – splash it on.  Don’t worry if you make a mess, it will dry by morning.   🙂
