1% Thursday: Your Medication
This week: Learn something new about your medication.
Is there a preventative medication you take every day? A supplement? Or is there a certain painkiller or abortive medication you often take for your headache or migraine attack?
Take some time to learn something new about it. For example, go online and do some research – what are the common side effects? You may suddenly see a connection you hadn’t thought about before. Is there a better way to take it? What are the common dosages? Are there long term dangers – maybe issues that we weren’t aware of when you first got your prescription? What does this drug actually do?
You’ll want to check reliable sources, but do stay open to the community as well – what do real people say about their experiences?
You might learn something that will help you improve your treatment, or at least understand it better.
What is 1% Thursday?
Every Thursday at Headache and Migraine News (weather permitting) we’ll talk about one measurable, practical thing we can do to make our lives just 1% better. Usually it will be something very easy, sometimes it will be a challenge. Let us know if you try it, or share an idea of your own – and maybe a year from now we’ll see that things have really changed for the better!

I bought two pots of roses last Thursday and was planning to plant them on a new flower bed. But as we reached home after the purchase, there came the attack. But yes, I summoned the strength to dig two holes last Friday evening and planted the plants. I hope they will give me lots of flowers as my reward.

Ooops, I commented on the wrong post—I am on my postdrome and couldn’t care less where I place my comments. Sorry James.
