3 Things To Know Before the 2022 Migraine World Summit Starts
…And you need to know these things now, because one thing is happening before the summit begins!
1. Pre-Migraine World Summit Live Webinar
That’s what they’re calling it. Just to be clear, this is not pre-migraine, assuming you’ll have a migraine attack afterwards – it is pre-summit, meaning that it’s happening a week before the actual summit. 🙂
People have often asked about live events, since the interviews at the summit are generally recorded (but transmitted live for everyone). Well, not a lot of details have been released, but I imagine this will be the place to be if you want a preview of what’s coming at this year’s summit. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, the 9th March 2022, at 1pm Mountain Time.
Why haven’t I heard about this (you ask)? Well, it could be that you’re not registered for the summit. This is a more “insiders” webinar, so you when you sign up (for free) you should get updates via email, one of which will include a one-click registration for the webinar itself (yes, you’ll need to register separately for this event).
2. Learning Tracks
We talked about these last year, so you can read more here. But basically, this is a clever way to help you narrow down what interviews you’re going to watch (for those of us who want to minimize our screen time). Each track focuses on a certain topic:
- Migraine 101
- Triggers
- Causes
- Symptoms
- Complementary Therapies & Prevention
- Treatments
- Hope & Resilience
- Research
One more handy secret about this is this: Sometimes it’s hard to tell from the title of an interview just what information you’ll find packed inside. So these tracks might lead you to hidden information that you wouldn’t find otherwise.
To see all the learning tracks, visit this page at the Migraine World Summit.
3. Free and Discounted?
Well, which is it? Both, actually!
Yes, the Migraine World Summit is 100% free again this year. You can register right here (very quick registration!). That includes the pre-summit webinar (although registration is separate for that).
But you can also purchase the full library of interviews to watch/listen to/read at your leisure, a huge bonus for those who can’t rearrange their schedules for the summit this year, or who simply can’t handle the screen time. Also, purchasing the full library gives you access to other constantly-updated migraine fighting resources, and extended interviews with information and tips that won’t be available at the actual summit.
Until the 16th of March, all passes are discounted. The All Access Pass is 20% off. The VIP Access Pass (which includes Treatment Directory & Guides) is 24% off. And the Box Set Plus Pass (for those don’t want downloads but a physical box set received by post) 15% off.
And I should add that these passes all have gift options. This is a very valuable resource to gift to a friend or family member with migraine. ?
The bad news is that (in my opinion) the Migraine World Summit website is very confusing, and this page is hard to find – so here’s the All Access Pass page. Ordering through this link will support not only the ongoing work of the summit, but also Headache and Migraine News. Thanks for supporting this work!

The presummit, like the post-summit online event, are a chance to sell the paid options. I don’t begrudge the organizers for this as they have expenses. But I have learned over the years to skip these promo time-suckers.
This year the site has the list of questions being asked in each interview, so that could help people determine what they do or do not want to invest time in listening to during the 24 hour window.
It looks like a great lineup this year!

Actually, I think this is one of the first ones I attended, and I was pleasantly surprised. Basically, the pre-summit event gave a preview of what was coming and why it had practical value. Also, the hosts introduced us to some new features of the summit this year.
Of course they mentioned the access passes as well, but it was much more than that. Actually, it was in the presummit event that I learned more about the list of questions you mention above. 🙂
