36 Million Migraine Campaign (videos)
The American Migraine Foundation and Mrs. Cindy McCain recently announced a joint effort to raise awareness and funding for migraine sufferers in the United States (and, of course, around the world – and you’ll hear more specifics about that in the second video below).
Here’s their description of the campaign:
The purpose of the 36 MILLION MIGRAINE CAMPAIGN is to put this disorder front and center among our national health priorities and raise as much as $36 million to support medical research – one dollar for every American who struggles with migraine. To do this, Mrs. McCain will be joined by some of the best-known names in media, entertainment, sports, business, and public life to power it to success. As they join us, we will add their names to the 36 Million Migraine Organization Team.
A good start – not sure about the pessimistic phrase “as much as…”, though – do they think we can’t raise more than that? 🙂
The American Migraine Foundation has some excellent information on their website about the 36 Million Migraine Campaign, including some great summaries of both the problems and challenges when it comes to migraine and the exciting state of research today.
