Back to School – September 2010 Headache & Migraine Disease Carnival
I want to particularly highlight the Headache & Migraine Disease Carnival this month, not only because of the blog entries, but also the extra information that was included.
The posts are filled with excellent advice – I suggest you read them all, especially if you are currently in high school, college or university.
Also, if you have younger kids that may have migraine or chronic headache, don’t miss the NY Times article Returning to Classrooms, and to Severe Headaches. For general help, particularly for parents, guardians and teachers trying to help children with headache symptoms, read Dealing with child migraines?
I have some friends right now trying to help a child who has been having an increasing number of headaches. It’s not easy – it takes time and patience. One of the best bits of advice I can offer? See a doctor, take it seriously, watch closely, and don’t just write it off as "stress".
Yes, I had an entry in this month’s carnival too. Sadly off topic, but still important. If you haven’t read it yet, don’t miss Found: Genetic Link to "Basic" Migraine.
