How long have you had chronic headaches?

Here are the results of the poll that we’ve been running here at Relieve-Migraine-Headache.com. The question was, I’ve had chronic headaches for… (how long). 837 people responded, and here’s what they said:

So, almost 40% had had headaches for over 20 years, almost 62% for over 10 years.

On the brighter side, I just got an email from a former HeadWay subscriber who said she was unsubscribing because she’d had very few headaches over the past year thanks to a preventative medication she had been taking. Those are the kinds of emails I love to get!

So keep fighting back! There’s hope, even after 20 years.

New things at the website!

You may have noticed a couple of new things here at Relieve-Migraine-Headache.com. Every once in a while people ask me if they can get a copy of the information here that they can view offline. So, I’ve finally got something for you!

Our new eBook includes the articles from this site, and also all the news entries! All the tips and research can be read offline, or even printed out. Not only are all the articles there that you’re familiar with, there are also some bonuses. Check out this page to read more about the new eBook…

This eBook is also a way to raise money for orphans in West Africa. How does that work, you ask? Well, check out the link above to hear all about it!

You’ll also notice that there is now a way to leave comments here. I’ve installed this for a trial period, so give it a try! The reason I haven’t done it before is because of concerns about spam.

Since time is so limited, I want to make sure that I use as much time as possible to add new information to the site, rather than monitoring for spam. But, if things go ok I hope I can leave the comment forms available! I love to hear what you think about these topics.

There’s a new article online entitled,"How to treat a migraine". Of course, as many of us know, there really is not one way. Migraine treatment can be a complex thing, and it’s different for everyone.

But, if you’re looking for some step by step advice for dealing with migraine, you may find this article helpful. Not only does it include tips of its own, it also links all over the website (and beyond) to articles and tips on each topic. You’ve been seeing more and more information on non-drug treatments for headache here. One notable addition over the past few days is an interview with Canadian chiropractor, Dr Michael Kricken.

As HeadWay subscribers know, the Spring Away From Headaches contest is ended! I was wondering what country our winner would come from. Of course, we get visitors here from all over the world. Some of the countries that visit most include the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, India and Belgium. But there are many more – headaches and migraines are a worldwide problem.

But, when all was said and done, the winner was Dee! And Dee is from the USA. Thanks everyone for entering!
