December Headache and Migraine Super-Contest!
It’s been a long time since we’ve run a contest here, so I think it’s about time! This contest will run only one week, so get involved now before it’s too late!
The winner will receive three different items:
- The Migraine Brain by Dr Carolyn Bernstein and Elaine McArdle. The Migraine Brain is a fairly new book (2008) with lots of practical ideas for dealing with your symptoms in real life, and finding long term solutions. Read my review of The Migraine Brain here.
- Migraine and Other Headaches by Dr William B Young and Dr Stephen D Silberstein. A second book to balance things out, this excellent well-researched book about a variety of common conditions. Packed with information, this is a reference you can use again and again.
- Celestial Dreams Sleep Eye Pillow – get to sleep easier, or take a power-nap with this deluxe eye pillow from Earth Therapeutics. Read more about what makes eye pillows great here.
Obviously you can keep these items for yourself, or give them away. But to make things even better, you’ll also get a second eye pillow that you can give to a friend! After all, it’s a great time to give gifts!
How to enter
This time we’re using a system of entries. This is how it will work. You can do any of the below, and gain more entries. However, you must leave a comment below telling me what you did and leaving the link. Obviously you must leave your full name and email address (name in the name slot, and email in the email slot so it doesn’t show up on the site of course – for my eyes only) so that I can contact you and announce the winner. Here are your options for gaining entries:
- Simply leave a comment here.
Value: 1 entry - Link to Headache and Migraine News or Relieve-Migraine-Headache.com from your own website. You can link to any page you like, but it must be publicly viewable and not use the "nofollow" tag. (No brainer, I know – but believe it or not some people would try it!)
Value: 3 entries - Twitter about the contest. Must be new, linking to this site, and using the words Check out the December Headache and Migraine Super-Contest! (link to this post)
Value: 3 entries - Leave a new, valuable comment elsewhere on the site, then link to the post from here.
Value: 2 entries - Subscribe to the free ezine, HeadWay
Value: 2 entries
You can do all these things if you want, but only once. That means you can have a maximum of 11 entries. Please leave a comment for each of the above that you do – in other words, one comment if you twitter (with link), one if you commented on another post, one plain ordinary comment, etc.
When it’s all over
The contest closes on the 15th of December at 11:59pm Greenwich Mean Time. The winner will be chosen using random.org and announced on Friday, the 18th of December.
So go ahead – enter and see what happens! 😉

I just discovered, and commented on, one of the magnesium-migraine posts (http://headacheandmigrainenews.com/migraine-and-magnesium-new-study/ ). I’m really glad I caught that particular bit of information!

Hi. I read the second book, not the first. But I do have a migraine brain. I am on my second day waiting to get in to the hospital for DHE infusion. My migraines went from bad to worse as I have gotten older and they are now near daily. Hoping for some relief.

Hey James, I have been a subscriber for awhile now and recommend your website anytime I hear of someone who suffers from headaches. I twittered about the contest at http://www.Twitter.com/coronetbay and posted a link about the contest at facebook.com/beth.young.gooden
My facebook page is private so I’m not sure if that counts, but I posted it there anyway. I used to post all of your articles to my page thru an RSS feed until the one about Menstrual Migraines and Sex -Induced migraines posted to my home page and some of my guy friends from high school gave me a hard time. LOL. So now I post them manually. 🙂
Thanks again, James, for ALL you do and good luck with the contest to everyone!!
God Bless and Merry Christmas!!
James

Yes, Lizzie – if you’re already a HeadWay subscriber, it counts (as long as you tell me here, of course – I’m not including thousands of subscribers, don’t worry!).
And Beth, your facebook entry doesn’t count because it isn’t “public”. Of course, your tweet wasn’t either, but since I didn’t specify I’ll count it.
Stay tuned for the announcement tomorrow! 🙂 Looks like you all have a very good chance!
