“I wish I could just have the flu like I used to.”
I’m sure a lot of you can relate to this excellent post by Peter Waite about getting sick – when you’re sick!
In fact, he was sick when he wrote the post… maybe that’s why it rings true.
It reminds me of a post I wrote back in 2008 – RED ALERT! I have a cold!
What about you? What happens when you get a cold, or the flu – how do you cope?
Thanks to my Mom for pointing this post out. 😉

Sometimes I can’t tell if I were having a migraine attack; I just know there’s something else. It’s only when the fever sets in that I get the idea that I have another problem and worse, it is accompanied by a migraine attack…When that happens, I am like a fish out of water! Two winters ago my primary care giver (my husband) got the bug along with me and it was only our six year old son who was functional at home. It was a nightmare! But looking back now it was funny—I and my husband were given a whole cucumber, cornflakes box and a bottle of Coca Cola for breakfast…Seriously, being sick with another sickness is the absolute pits. Being a chronic migraineur doesn’t prepare one for another bout or round of pain, suffering, and sickness. I do not know being kicked by a horse feels, I guess it can be like that. Coping is the last thing on my mind. It is up to the people closest to me to make everything alright.
