Are you satisfied with your doctor/specialist?
Here are the results of our (unscientific) poll: Are you satisfied with your doctor/specialist?
So as you can see, 49%, the biggest group, were not satisfied. But close behind were those who were satisfied, at 43%.
Of course there can be lots of reasons for this. Naturally we as patients are responsible to take the time to find the specialist that we need.
But why are so many not satisfied? Is it maybe that we don’t understand what our doctors are trying to do? Not enough communication? Does this simply reflect frustration because we haven’t found the "right" treatment yet? Do we feel the specialist doesn’t have the expertise, or that they don’t have an open mind?
We’re going to try to answer these questions with our next poll, because obviously this is a big issue. I know there are a lot of great doctors and specialists out there, so let’s see if we can get to the bottom of this.

I was super curious to learn the results of this question because it is such a loaded question for most of us.
After years and years of searching, I was able to truthfully respond that I am happy with my specialist(s). But it took a lot of hard work and a little luck to get to this point.

It does take hard work. I think a lot of people give up, and so they miss out on the treatment they should be getting. But it’s not easy – there’s no doubt about it!
