Avoid Summer Headache
I’d like to point you to another article from the National Headache Foundation’s publication HeadWise, and maybe get your suggestions along the way.
Here in the northern hemisphere we’re well into summer – and for some people, that means more headaches. What can you do to minimize the symptoms?
Some of the suggestions in the article are:
- Avoid bright sunlight/glare
- Hydrate!
- Watch out for exercise headaches
- Watch out for changes in eating patterns (different schedule, more alcohol, etc)
- Beware of your triggers – allergies? humidity? storms? weather changes? There may be ways to minimize these if you’re aware of them.
- Plan ahead – especially if making travel plans. Do you have everything you need?
- Take time to relax and have fun!
These are good but general suggestions, and we’ve talked about all of them before (I’ve linked to just a few highlights. But I want to know – what suggestions would you add? Or what specifically has helped you survive the summer?
